The aim of this event is give young designers studying in the final year in various design school and designers never been to any formal designing school under 35 years old access to a new platform, as well as the opportunity to keep marketing their collections through digital media. Candidates who have not had the opportunity to launch their designs but talent to make name in the industry may also participate in the competition, as long as they can provide evidence of this.
The Jury is composed of both Academic and Professional participants nationwide, such as chief executive officers or head designers of companies and faculty heads or professors. In addition, the DESIGNER FIRST Award features the focus group jury, which is composed of ordinary people to normalize the scoring by eliminating the bias on aesthetics and form sections, the votes of Professional, Academic and the Focus Group are weighted to determine the final result.
The mission of the Designer First Award and Competition is to provide a fair, ethical and competitive platform for companies, designers and innovators from all design fields with different experience levels, diverse disciplines and market focus to compete on, while providing them a national audience to showcase their success and talents to.
